The Asian Health Initiative at UW Medicine will be the beneficiary of the gala. The initiative aims to improve the health and well-being of Asian populations in our region, and it has a number of important goals: to provide excellent, culturally sensitive care for Asians; to develop community educational programs to address Asian health disparities; to increase Asian patients’ representation in medical research; and to promote leadership opportunities for Asian American medical professionals.
